We train the individual to become competent in their martial arts whether its for a competition or for self-defense.
Everyone is treated with the same respect that you would give to your one of your family members. There are no egos in Bushido, no one thinks they are better than anyone else regardless if you`re a fresh martial artist or one that has been training for years. We support each other.
Our Programs And Classes
Brazilian jiu-jitsu
Brazilian jiu-jitsu is a self-defence martial art and combat sport based on grappling, ground fighting, and submission holds. BJJ focuses on taking ones opponent down to the ground, gaining a dominant position, and using a number of pin or entanglement techniques to force them into submission via joint locks or chokeholds.
Kickboxing
Kickboxing is a full-contact combat sport and a form of boxing based on punching and kicking. The fight takes place in a boxing ring or on tatami mats, normally with boxing gloves, mouth guards, shorts, and bare feet to favor the use of kicks. Kickboxing is practiced for self-defence, general fitness, or for competition.Kickboxing has 7 modes Some styles of kickboxing include: eg. Full contact, low kicks and K1 .
Boxing
Boxing (also known as “western boxing” or “pugilism”) is a combat sport and a martial art in which two people, usually wearing protective gloves and other protective equipment such as bandages/ hand wraps and mouthguards, throw punches at each other, evading and trying to outsmart each other for a predetermined amount of time in a boxing ring.
Muay Thai
Sometimes referred to as Thai boxing, is a combat sport that uses stand-up striking, sweeps, and various clinching techniques.
This discipline is known as the “Art of eight limbs”, as it is characterised by the combined use of fists, elbows, knees and shins.Muay Thai became widespread as westerners travelled to Thailand to learn the martial art, as have our head Coach.
H.I.I.T
High-intensity interval training (HIIT) is a training protocol alternating short periods of intense or explosive anaerobic exercise with brief recovery periods until the point of exhaustion.HIIT involves exercises performed in repeated quick bursts at maximum or near maximal effort with periods of rest or low activity between bouts. The very high level of intensity, the interval duration, and number of bouts distinguish it from aerobic (cardiovascular) activity, because the body significantly recruits anaerobic energy systems (although not completely to the exclusion of aerobic pathways).
MMA
Mixed martial arts (MMA) is a full-contact combat sport based on striking, grappling and ground fighting, incorporating techniques from various combat sports from around the world. The first documented use of the term mixed martial arts was in a review of UFC 1 by television critic Howard Rosenberg in 1993
Boxfit
Boxfit is a cardiovascular workout increasing stamina in the heart and lungs. Classes last between 45 mins to one hour and are for all levels of fitness. It is based on the training used for boxing so includes skipping, boxing drills including footwork and abdominal, focusing on fitness and toning.
